National Poetry Month!

April is National Poetry month, and even though it's almost over, we wanted to share a poem with you. The four of us combined our talents to create this video. We hope you enjoy it!

What did you imagine while listening to this poem?

Have you ever felt like the rose?

What does the concrete represent for you?

Now it's your turn!

Use the poem or any part of this video and create your own artistic expression!

It can be another poem, song, dance, reading or visual art.

We'd love to see what you come up with, and we'll post it here on our blog!

The Rose That Grew from Concrete by Tupac Shakur

Did you hear about the rose that grew from

a crack in the concrete?

Proving nature's law is wrong it

it learned to walk without having feet.

Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,

it learned to breathe fresh air.

Long live the rose that grew

from concrete when

no one else ever cared.
